We are a friendly, sociable group, meeting weekly on Thursday evenings. We currently are based at The Settlement in Letchworth Garden City but many of our meetings are held at other locations in the area. Our programme follows the three term system, autumn, winter and summer.
The Club is all inclusive with members following many styles of photography and each years strives to embrace trending photography. We have all skill levels of photography amongst us from the novice hobbyist to those who work professionally with photography. Members share knowledge and skills with each other and are always willing to help.
The annual programme covers topics such as knowledge and skills, guest speakers, studio nights and evenings out and about at various locations. We also meet up at some weekends to visit places further afield.
Our annual internal competitions are in three formats, Digital, Printed Colour and Printed Mono.The Club also is involved in other local events and hold exhibitions in Letchworth.We take part in competitions with other clubs in the surrounding area, including: - Royston, Stevenage, Saffron Waldon and Welwyn Garden City. The Club also takes part in the Melbourn Cup and Bedfordshire Invitation Inter-Club Competitions. Members have also been successful in having work accepted for the East Anglian Federation Annual Exhibition.
Currently, we meet weekly on Thursday evenings at 7.45pm in the Brunt Room at The Settlement. Visitors and potential new members are always welcome - please come and see us for a few meetings before committing to join.
